Students in Middle Years and Senior Years have access to the garden program. They plant, nurture and eventually eat the fruits and vegetables that are grown in the Kitchen Garden. A lot of our produce is used in our Homecrafts classes, where the students pick, wash, cook and then eat their creations, experinecing the whole 'farm to fork' concept.
Waratah Special Developmental school was a fortunate recepient of a "Greener North East Community' grant. These funds provided us with the opportunity to create Inclusive Raised Garden Beds, allowing all our students to access gardening activities on the farm, in partneship with Farm Raiser.
