The Middle Years section of the school comprises of four classes with students ranging from the ages of 12 to 15. The curriculum focus is driven by the Victorian Curriculum and programs vary across the classrooms reflecting the students’ individual needs and ages.
Students in the Middle Years continue to develop their Functional Communication Skills along with their reading, writing and number skills. Learning to understand their own behaviour and their interactions with others is a focus through this time. The school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program assists in developing these skills.
